Read: Vicious Circle, Mike Carey

The second paranormal detective novel featuring Felix “Fix” Castor blends together several threads, including more on his possessed buddy Rafi Ditko. Carey’s developed a stable of good supporting characters here, as Fix searches for the missing ghost of a girl. Carey’s dialogue is sharp, even if his plots are sometimes a little bit predictable (it’s almost hard to believe Fix doesn’t put together some of these clues until it’s almost too late). Still, an utterly enjoyable outing. I’d like to go on and read books three and four, but they’re only available in the UK at present.
